Qi & Xue – Locomotive and hanger

In Chinese Medicine the active energetic processes of the human being, his non-substantial part, are called “qi”.

The counterpart to the active energy is the substantial energy we know for example in the form of blood or other juices (e.g. the lymph). The entity of juices including blood is called “xue” in Chinese Medicine.

“Blockades” or “somnolence”, in general disease processes or disharmonies, can arise both in the substantial and non-substantial part of the organism and can be treated with the help of Chinese pharmaceuticals and acupuncture.
