Accepting the world,
you embrace the Way

Embracing the Way, you become embraced;
Breathing gently, you become newborn;
Clearing your mind, you become clear;
Nurturing your children, you become impartial;
Opening your heart, you become accepted;
Accepting the world, you embrace the Way.
Bearing and nurturing,
Creating but not owning,
Giving without demanding,
This is harmony.

Philosophy of a Contemporary Chinese Medicine

The “symptoms” or “subjective disorders” in the organism are actually in accordance with the “dashboard level”. Thus, the symptom is the level where a signal is sent to the body in a clear and striking manner:
- „There is something wrong!"
- „Something is getting out of control!"
- „You are asking to much of yourself!“

It is very counterproductive, useless and even extremely detrimental for the body to only manipulate / conceal its dashboard level / symptom level and to “suppress” the symptoms respectively.

It is more useful (for good “mechanics“) to have a look beneath the bonnet to see where the source of interferences lies, thus where the source of the warning lamp signals on the dashboard lies.

Or described with another image of the tree: The symptoms display in principle “only“ the abnormally modified leaves of a system. In order to fathom the source/reason of the disease/imbalance you have to take a look at the roots of the tree.

That is, the crime scene is not equal to the offender – and a diligent analysis of the entire system combined with an understanding of the language of the symptoms lead to the destination in a more useful way and rather do justice to this highly complex organism without inflicting damage to it.

It is also more useful to carry out a therapy upon the occurrence of the disorders than to wait too long. The longer an imbalance exists the more likely a “deeper penetration” into the organism and thus an aggravation of the problem is.
