In the foreground of our so-called conventional medicine stands the symptom. Different specialists analyse and manage diverse symptoms. The symptom corresponding to the display on a dashboard is manipulated by conventional treatment methods and “treated away”.
In Chinese Medicine I use the diversity of the symptoms as parts of a mosaic, which belong together. Like the parts of a puzzle, like the leaves of a tree they speak a language that wants to be heard and understood. The dashboard-level helps me to find the respective blockades / disharmonies in the system. I analyse the entire system and find that many “leaves” have one root – consequently, the individual elements, the individual symptoms at the physical as well as the mental level form an overall picture, a pattern.
By questioning the patient in detail, by understanding the “psychic-emotional” pattern of a human being and with the help of the pulse and tongue diagnosis I can identify basic problems in the organism and treat them adequately. We consider this form of diagnostics holistic because it includes all levels of the organism: body, mind and soul. These individual parts are understood, perceived as entity and not as different parts.
Viruses and germs play only an “adherents’ role” in most processes. What is crucial is always the condition of the entire system, which is closely interwoven with the so-called immune system. |
