The invoicing of the rendered services is basically according to the German medical fee schedule (Gebührenordnung für Ärzte, short GOÄ).
Statutorily insured patients:
Your statutory health insurance company will not cover any costs and you will be treated as self-pay patient.
Privately insured patients:
All private health insurance companies reimburse acupuncture as pain therapy. Some private health insurance companies and German benefits agencies will not automatically reimburse the Chinese pharmaceutical therapy. The remaining treatments and consultations are not affected by this.
